What is the one-way cab fare from 116th St / Broadway to JFK T5?

    Thanks.

  2. Mario on January 13, 2012 at 5:51 pm said:

To JC 1> if you are a passenger: $45 flat rate + toll n tipping is customary 2> if you are a driver: it must be your first week. [Rate 2 = $45 flat rate] + toll for anywhere from Manhattan (it could be from 125 St n Second Avenue just before RFK Triboro bridge or W218 St n Broadway in Inwood) to JFK or from JFK to Manhattan.

JC $ 45 and toll + tip …IF you take a YELLOW LICENSED MED CAB…..Please avoid doing that ride during rush hour or you may hit the SHIFT CHANGE OVER – 5 am ish and ……
5 pm ish ….Remember if you Charge the ride it COST THE DRIVER 5% to collect said money….$ 45 = 2.25 4.80 toll = 24 cents tip 5% more SO try to give US CASH EVERY ONE !!! WE ARE TIRED OF WORKING FOR THE PHUCKING BANKS ………..

Max passenger load is 4-5, not 6. The fare from anywhere in Manhattan to JFK is $45. Starting Sept 4th 12:01 AM the fare will be $52. If the Midtown Tunnel or the Triboro (RFK) Bridge is used, an additional $4.80 is added on.

    Hi,

I need to book a SUV to go from Manhattan to JFK, as I have oversized luggages that wouldn’t fit in a conventional cab. Do you charge a supplementary fee for using a SUV instead of a conventional cab? If yes, what is the extra amount?

    Thank you,
    Emmanuel

I have a same question as Emmanuel’s. I need to book SUV from Manhattan to JFK. Do you charge extra fee on the rate of conventional cab? And how much?

  14. Disappointed on September 14, 2012 at 8:21 pm said:

Hank, it is flat rate of $52 plus toll pus tip plus $0.50 MTA tax from JFK to anywhere in the city or from city to JFK at all time.

  15. super MARIO on September 14, 2012 at 9:16 pm said:

Hank, apparently from other region, bring factors like # of passengers, day, time n zoning to guess the fare. I hope some rogue cabbies use them to inform fare to unsuspecting passengers with cash payment. Then more bad publicity of NYC cabbies on front page criminal’s big face looking like u n me, if get caught. Never too late to add a decal with concise fare info, smaller fonts for English but bigger fonts for #. not cluttered, confusing, complex calculation but concise one with clarity. Speaking of rogue cabbies, in case u r tempted to practice shameful act at all n doormen cooperating black cars r excuses to justify it. If ur conscience doesn’t stop u, u should know there is an app to catch u. It’s called spyware to listen through ur phone’s microphone. I doubt TLC would go that far but I’m letting u know there is an app capable of it, even seeing through ur own phone’s camera lens. So just don’t do it for ur own peace of mind.

Pick up @ JFK @ 1:15 A.M. Take two people around the city for a tour, then return to JFK (flight out @ 7 A.M.)
We would rather ride around in a cab for a few hours than to sit in airport for that amount of time.
    Thank you.

Thanks Noah and Brooklyn Mark. Now if that were a bit steep, can you suggest a place – an all night diner perhaps, where we could get a cab to, kill time for an hour, then get a taxi back to JFK? I understand there is a flat rate from the airport – but, what’s the going rate from, say, Times Square back to JFK?

Hi, I need to get to JFK on Tuesday and I was wondering whether or not I can call for a cab in advance?
I’d prefer that over hailing a cab in the street.
Also would it cost extra to call/reserve a car for a certain time?

  70. FairShare on July 24, 2016 at 11:40 am said:

Kristina, TAXIS have many apps that offer government-controlled prices and fully-insured rides. Download one of these apps – ARRO, CURB, there are also Way2Ride, FlyWheel, etc.
TAXI apps pre-date uber and existed long before uber was founded in 2008. Enjoy your TAXI apps and fully regulated ride.

    Hello,
Is it easy to find a taxi when we are 5 people? (3 adults, a 14-year-old girl and one of 11 years). Is it better to reserve for making JFK to Brooklyn?

  72. Anonymous on July 27, 2016 at 3:21 pm said:

You can reserve using CURB taxi app, or just go to a JFK TAXI line upon arrival – JFK dispatcher will allot a bigger taxi vehicle for you.

Get a dashcam. A lot of bad drivers driving now. The dashcam pro for $40 is good enuf. Hope you never need it but have it in case. Use 1080p. Lawyers will take your case and I think the Judges only look at the recording if its 1080 or so I was told by another cab driver. Took two cabs and the drivers tried uber and said no money so back to yellow.
