How to prevent taxi overflow at Penn Station? …, it must be better way, but right now cops are busy writing tickets
Thanks to our mayor and governor We have a black car driver dead. He could not work like a slave any more to sustain his family and business. The governor and mayor are responsible to let Uber and others to fill the streets with traffic, competition and make our jobs more difficult every day and now both of them have blood in their dirty hands and so the NYC Council. In one way or other You will pay for this You bastards, sons of bitches!!!!
Happiness is missing, how any hardworking cabdriver could be happy working minimum 10 hours day in most congested city and not even the minimum wages guaranteed. Everyday one of us getting tickets just about for anything! Cops are always busy with cabdrivers.
Taxi services have always been on demand and with the great demand in sight; there are several taxi service business owners who are now focused on coming up with new taxi service business plan to make their business standout from their competition and be readily available to their customers anytime and are focused on providing a great passenger service with the intention to retain their customers and make them regular ones. Very interesting, good job and thanks for sharing such a good blog.your article is so convincing that I never stop myself to say something about it.You’re doing a great job.Keep it up

Cabdrivers should have same wages guaranteed like the NYC bus drivers! In reality our job is much harder than theirs. However those MTA bus drivers cannot listen to any AM/FM radio in their bus. Too bad, but they’re compensated with better living wages, while cabbies are struggling, and listening to 99.5 FM or perhaps to 105.9 FM.
My opinion is to cut down the duty time or divide the job into 2 shift so that drivers can enjoy their family time as well. Otherwise their job will be much harder in the coming days.
I’m looking for that day-time driver of 6J16a who driven this cab on Friday, March 23; and I told “you” to listen to 99.5 FM to hear the Gary Null Show! … and “you” told me, this is the first time “you” hear this show! Keep in mind this show run five days a week, (M-Fr) 12:00 – 1:00 PM! I am waiting for your message here, and comments and questions about the taxi business.
every yellow, green, uber driver goes out on strike demanding half the surcharge goes to mta and half to drivers. the city will buckle if 200 000 drivers stop working. on this one we all unite.
Good luck with that, talk to them – invite every cabbie to this website!
every driver stops working for two hours Wed afternoons. Matinee day. Watch the city bow to all drivers First step to taking over industry. No Uber lyft veriphone curb. We take over total ownership. It can be done

Soon or later cabdrivers will loose more and more fares, and will wonder how and why is this happening. Is there anyone doing anything good for the yellow taxi industry and for the hardworking taxi drivers. The Avenues and the Streets are jammed to the max, the average speed is 4-5 miles per hour. How any cabbie would or could expect more taxi riders, and better wages? With the Taxi Apps?
Driving yellow cab all day long, leaving me depleted, and so tired; and that’s happening to all of us?
Any positive changes in the taxi business for the Drivers, or getting worse? So, what cabbies are doing, besides driving?
A powerful share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a bit evaluation on this. And he in truth bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I really feel strongly about it and love studying extra on this topic. If doable, as you become experience, would you thoughts updating your blog with extra particulars? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog publish!
I wish to express thanks to this writer just for bailing me out of this type of predicament. Because of surfing through the world-wide-web and meeting tips which are not powerful, I believed my life was done. Existing without the solutions to the issues you’ve resolved as a result of the review is a crucial case, and the kind which might have badly damaged my entire career if I hadn’t discovered your blog post. Your primary expertise and kindness in maneuvering all the stuff was valuable. I am not sure what I would’ve done if I hadn’t discovered such a stuff like this. I am able to at this point look ahead to my future. Thanks very much for the professional and result oriented help. I will not be reluctant to recommend the website to anyone who would like support about this area.
What is the guaranteed livable wages for the cabdrivers in NYC? What extra benefit cabbies are getting?
Yesterday while working I received 2 tickets from NYPD. I was dropping off a customer in front of a hotel at 16th west 56th st when after I dropped off a customer I then picked up a different customer when I was then pulled over and given 2 separate tickets for improper pickup/drop off. There was no bus lane or bus stop. It was infront of a hotel loading zone. How do people expect us to make a living if we are not able to pick up/drop off customers? Are they trying to run yellow cabs out of NYC? I am a veteran driver and do not understand why even the police is coming after us drivers too now
To NYC Yellow Cabbie, and all you guys. There is tons of problems in NYC, but some cops are just targeting cabdrivers just about for anything. We are “yellow” and easy to see whatever we are doing, especially for the Police, and they take advantages to write tickets just about for anything. As we know it, we have little or no control when the passenger step-in or jump out when the driver stop in traffic or waiting for the green light to move. Every cabdriver should have a dashboard camcorder in their vehicle. That is your best eyewitness, also we drivers should watch and report anything if those Cops and Traffic agents doing something wrong! Drive and safe, and every cabdriver should tell their stories right here on this website, like you did! This is the way to progress, because lot of cabdrivers are suffering with this and other type of problems.

Recently tried to schedule two vans on the Yellow Cab website. First was on August 03, 2018 and the second on August 04, 2018. For the first request, after the van did not show up, I called the dispatch and was told that I needed to call them after the online schedule to ensure the car was available (why have an online system if I have to call???). I was told there were no vans available in the area (Broadway & E 12th). Had to call an Uber.
The second try, I scheduled a van online, and promptly called dispatch to confirm, and was told there were none available. I then requested two cabs, as I had a party of eight (8) and we wanted to arrive at the same place, at the same time. Dispatch stated they could not make that happen. I had to call two Ubers.
I totally agree that the Uber service is cutting into the Yellow Cab business, and try to order a cab when I can, but dispatch needs to do a better job of getting resources where they need to be. Yellow Cab needs to look for some online capability that will help it compete in the ride-hail business. Caps are one thing, but Yellow needs to get on the same playing field.
As an aside, I was charged $12.95 for each of the van requests, even though they were not provided. Trying to get a refund on that now…
